Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.
Our history, beliefs, and commitments
Our work with orphans and widows began in July 2007 in response to needs identified by local leaders at Iglesia La Viña in Montellano in the Dominican Republic. Its creation inspired by their loving concern for their neighbors, dedication to serve, and heart to reach out to the poor.
Originally called Orphans and Widows Care Ministry, and later renamed Love Unconditional, we began as a ministry of The Vineyard Church of Hopkinton.
In December of 2018, with the full blessing of The Vineyard Church of Hopkinton Board of Directors, Love Unconditional began in the process of incorporation, and now in 2019 is filing for independent 501(c)(3) status.
What we believe
- Every person is created in God’s image.
- Every child has the right to safe shelter, education, food, and the opportunity to grow up in a nurturing environment.
- A holistic approach is necessary. It is not enough to meet physical needs. We are spiritual beings in need of hope and a future.
- True religion includes caring for orphans and widows.
We are committed to partnering with local leaders and local church efforts, sharing Jesus’ message of love for the poor, and reaching out to orphans and widows.
We will strive to temper compassion with wisdom in all our efforts, engage in open and honest communications, value each others’ contributions, and treat each person with dignity and respect.
